We chopped down our Christmas Tree! I will not kill it this year!

So on Sunday...we chopped down our Christmas tree

 and decorated the house with Christmas decor!!

This is what I wore to watch E chop down the tree on Sunday!

with a gifted scarf from a couple years ago, my Rock Revival jeans and my riding boots from DSW with a little dash of Chloe on the side!!)

E chopping down the tree!

The Dewberry farm signs, the tractor hay ride to the Christmnas trees and we finally reach the Christmas trees!

Once we got home we decorated! The tree is DEF not as big around as last years but it's still 8 1/2 feet tall! The bow on top is humongous!

Where do yall buy tree toppers? I can never find any that I absolutely love!

Putting the tree topper on, stockings are hung, E's cookie jar (he loves snowmen!), and just some other snowmen around the house! 

Now if you read Sunday's post...you know that I killed the tree last year. That WILL NOT happen this year! lol

Have you ladies put up your Christmas trees yet and what are your favorite Christmas decorations...we love snowmen? I loved hearing your stories of getting a real or fake tree in Sunday's post!

Today's Challenge/Topic is :

Try to be good on Thanksgiving! Don't stuff yourself til you're about to pop.  And make sure you get to the gym to burn those EXTRA calories off!

Ok ladies! I only tried a little of each thing but somehow still felt overly stuffed. AND I did not do the extra cardio. (super sad face)

OK...I have to admit...I am seriously bummed...for the past few weeks I have really been slacking, being super duper lazy and now I just feel like BLAH.  And I am a co-host of MMM. How can I sit here and give tips when I am barely doing the minimum to participate in something I am co-hosting.

 I WANT TO APOLOGIZE.
  
From now on...no more complaining and no more being lazy.
I am holding myself accountable for my actions.
So today...I took a photo of myself (front and back).
Tangible evidence of HOW I REALLY LOOK.
I will take a photo on the same day once a week to keep track of my progress.  Surely this will help me see my progress.
AND keep me accountable!

So here is to a better ME!

Chopping down our Christmas tree today! and a funny story about last year's tree!

Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Unfortunately...for some reason...we didnt take ANY photos on Thanksgiving.

As you know...we hosted it at our house this year...and after everyone left...we were seriously pooped! And so was Chloe...obviously lol!

We are off to chop down our Christmas tree today!

And then decorate the house with Christmas decor!

So fun!!

Let me start off with some photos from last Christmas and tell you a quick story! And of course a blonde moment...

This is our HUMONGOUS Christmas tree from last year!

This poor tree never stood a chance. Within two weeks it was dead and I really couldn't figure out why. Until E asked...if I had been watering it. That was my only job (because it was my idea to chop down a real tree)! To water the tree every day. I even left out a pitcher to fill with water. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR! I PROMISE!

Needless to say...within a couple of weeks we had to put up the fake tree.

This is E cutting it down...Such a lumberjack lol!

And me putting the star on top of the tree! (barely able to reach it!)

Our first Christmas photo together! (can you tell that the tree in the photo is a ton smaller than the tree that I'm putting the star on?)

I bought this ornament to remember our first tree!
